Please help me understand how to include personalized content in the latest version of OemPro.

My organization is running an older version of OemPro and we are trying to move our newsletters to the latest version. In the older version (I'm not sure which version, but its at least 4 years old), one could put %Member:Email% (syntax might not be precise) in the body of an HTML message and the user's e-mail would be populated automatically in the body. It works in a similar manner with all custom fields.

How do I do this in the new version? Also, I need this to work with the "fetch content from a URL" type of template setup, as that is what my organization is used to using.

I see an "Add personalized content:" pull-down, but that populates the field in the "Html Content Url" when I select one. I don't understand how that is supposed to work, when using this with a .html file stored on a server.

Anybody that can answer this, it would be much appreciated. I've gone through the help section and have failed to find an answer. We are trying to get this system set up soon.
